Fire Suppression Engineers & Trainee Engineers

Are you an experienced engineer or practical, hardworking and looking to begin a new career?

Due to continued growth, Spoon2 International is looking for experienced Fire Suppression Engineers and Trainee Engineers to join our team. Previous fire-industry experience is welcomed but is not essential for trainee applicants, as full on-the-job training will be provided.

The role

You will travel to commercial kitchens across the UK, including occasional work in Scotland and Wales, to:

* Install fire-suppression systems

* Service and maintain existing systems

* Complete safety checks and associated paperwork

* Provide a professional service to our customers

* Work safely and follow company procedures

What we’re looking for

* A full UK driving licence

* Practical ability and confidence using hand tools, drills and spanners

* A reliable and hardworking approach

* The ability to follow instructions and work safely

* Good communication and customer-service skills

* Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away overnight

Experienced applicants should have relevant engineering or fire-suppression experience. Trainee applicants do not need previous industry experience but should be practically minded and keen to learn.

Working arrangements

The role is field-based and involves travel throughout the UK. Approximately 99% of work takes place Monday to Friday, with Fridays normally planned as a shorter working day. Due to the nature of our customers’ businesses, some early starts, night installations and overnight stays will be required.
