. Unlike volume service shops, this garage specializes in deep-level mechanical work—from timing chain replacements and engine rebuilds to custom suspension setups and high-end drivetrain overhauls. Operating from a modern, well-invested workshop, they offer realistic job allocations and a culture built around authentic mechanical passion.

• Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + quality craftsmanship bonus

  Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis

• Execute major powertrain repairs, including timing chain/belt renewals, cylinder head overhauls, clutch assemblies, and gearbox replacements
• Perform complex diagnostic isolation across fuel systems, turbochargers, and mechanical driveability faults
• Carry out routine servicing, multi-point safety inspections, and preventative maintenance across diverse vehicle makes
• Maintain accurate electronic job records and consult with service advisors regarding repair timelines and parts specifications
• Keep working bays, heavy equipment, and specialist tools maintained to high safety standards

  Experience:
  
  Proven background in heavy mechanical repairs, engine teardowns, and systematic troubleshooting
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent)
• MOT Status: Holding an active MOT Tester licence is an advantage for salary placement, but is not essential to apply
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
