Working Hours:- Monday to Friday
- Flexible shifts between 7:30am and 5:00pm
- Choose from 6-hour, 8-hour, or 10-hour shifts
- Overtime opportunities available
- No weekend work
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join a well-established and highly respected company with over 75 years of industry experience.
Based in a brand-new, modern workshop, you will be joining a skilled and supportive team within a company that is committed to investing in both its people and equipment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
- Completing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and safety checks.
- Repairing engines, gearboxes, braking systems, steering and suspension.
- Using diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and rectify faults.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA regulations and manufacturer standards.
- Completing job cards and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the workshop.
We are keen to hear from candidates with experience as an:
- HGV Technician
- HGV Mechanic
- Heavy Vehicle Technician
- Vehicle Technician
- Light Vehicle Technician
- Mechanical Technician or similar
Vehicle Technicians looking to transition into the HGV industry are also encouraged to apply, with training and support available.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Full UK Driving Licence.
- An HGV Licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Competitive starting pay of £18.00 £ 21.00 per hour.
