Dental Assistant

Location:

Worthington, MN 56187 | Full-Time

Apple White Dental of Worthington is looking for a driven, professional Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. Whether you're an experienced assistant ready to hit the ground running or a motivated candidate eager to train and grow into the role, we want to hear from you. Clinical

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert chairside assistance to our dentist across a full range of procedures
  • Assist across our full scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, implant restorations, oral surgery, periodontal disease treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry
  • Perform child prophylaxis as needed
  • Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in compliance with Minnesota state regulations
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment and maintain a clean, organized operatory following strict infection control protocols
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support before, during, and after every procedure
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and dental care with clarity and warmth
  • Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in full compliance with HIPAA
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Track dental supply inventory and process orders as needed
  • Prepare, enter, and track lab cases from submission through delivery
  • Support front-office functions as directed: scheduling, phones, and patient communication
  • Utilize dental practice management software for documentation and scheduling support
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential preferred, or actively working toward licensure through the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
  • Completion of an approved radiation safety course and radiography training required per Minnesota state regulations
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Experience as a dental assistant preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly encouraged to apply
  • Professional, polished communication and interpersonal skills with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Calm, patient-centered presence that makes every patient feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for
  • Strong attention to detail in clinical work, documentation, and operatory preparation
  • Ability to multitask confidently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with dental software and technology, comfort with digital radiography and practice management systems
  • Self-managing work ethic
