Position Overview
The Technician position is available at our Animal Health facility in Worthington, Minnesota. The facility is expanding operations to manufacture vaccines for large and companion animals using fermentation, cell culture, filling and freeze‑drying technologies.
Responsibilities- Prepare media and work with fermentation vessels such as Bellco's, performing cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and laboratories.
- Undergo training during the day and afternoon, then transition to training on the overnight process.
- Operate in a clean, aseptic environment including the cleanroom.
- Follow written SOPs and production outlines.
- Comprehend and comply with cGMP guidelines and complete documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Second shift, Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM.
EducationHigh school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology or a related field preferred.
Required Qualifications- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test.
- Knowledge of cGMP.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of fermentation and fermentation vessels.
- Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Analytical problem solving.
- Biological manufacturing.
- Cleanroom gowning.
- Computer literacy.
- GMP operations.
- Good manufacturing practices.
- Laboratory processes.
- Machinery operation.
- Manufacturing quality control.
