We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Med Aide to join our cottage hospice team.

- Provide comfort‑focused, patient‑centered care to individuals and families during one of the most meaningful stages of life.
- Support symptom management, emotional comfort, and dignity for every patient, working closely with an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and perform testing to assess patient data, interpreting information to identify age‑specific needs and provide the required care.
- Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing appropriate age and population‑specific standards in the home care setting.
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of patients and residents.
- Apply knowledge of medications and their effects to administer treatments safely.
- Develop a self‑care program by educating patients and residents.
- Identify common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe home environment.
- Administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- When department requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota, hold a Board‑approved AASPN degree where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
- Maintain an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
- Depending on location, a valid driver’s license may be required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers is required.
- Self‑scheduling.
- Maximum patient ratio of 1:4.
- Flexibility for LPNs working toward obtaining their RN license.
