Take Ownership of a Growing Commercial Real Estate PortfolioOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Administrator to join their team and play an important role in the financial and administrative management of a growing commercial real estate portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial real estate, lease administration, property accounting, or lease accounting experience who enjoys a position that combines accounting, financial analysis, tenant relationships, and property operations.
You’ll work closely with accounting and property management teams while serving as a key resource for lease data, tenant billing, reconciliations, collections, and lease compliance.
What You’ll DoAnalyze and abstract commercial lease agreements, ensuring key financial and operational terms are accurately captured.
Set up and maintain tenant accounts, lease information, billing schedules, and rent invoicing.
Prepare and reconcile CAM and operating expense reconciliations.
Review general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies related to tenant and property accounts.
Coordinate tenant billbacks, collections, security deposits, and other lease-related transactions.
Maintain accurate lease records and monitor critical dates, renewals, escalations, and other lease milestones.
Communicate with tenants regarding billing, account questions, insurance requirements, and lease-related matters.
Track tenant insurance certificates and assist with ongoing lease compliance.
Coordinate utility transfers and other administrative activities associated with tenant occupancy.
Partner with property managers and accounting professionals to resolve issues and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with reporting, audits, special projects, and process improvements as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred;
Associate’s degree considered with relevant experience.2+ years of experience in commercial real estate, lease administration, property accounting, lease accounting, or a related field.
Strong understanding of lease terms, tenant billing, reconciliations, and commercial real estate accounting.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting, property management, tenants, and other stakeholders.
Competitive $55,000–$65,000 salary
