This position ensures safety practices are prioritized and communicated effectively. It also ensures that finished goods received by customers are in good condition, free of defects, and properly packaged.
Principal Responsibilities- Communicate customer-reported quality concerns to Stoneridge plant through the Quality Engineer
- Review NCPs generated since last visit to the Chillicothe plant with the customer
- Control rejected materials to prevent customer complaints or rejected items at the customer facility
- Maintain testing equipment in good condition for product testing
- Report quality concerns to the Stoneridge Quality Engineer for support
- Perform containment activities at the site as needed
- Create detailed reports on quality issues detected at the site
- Inspect, analyze, and repair rejected units at the customer facility, if applicable
- Ensure proper execution of Process Deviations at customer facilities and verify product handling conditions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or at least 5 years of experience as a Quality or Electronic Technician
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance, control, supplier quality, or as a liaison within automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone Diagram)
- Basic understanding of factory processes, preferably in automotive
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience working with diverse personnel backgrounds
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
