Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative support to leadership. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and thrives on organization, confidentiality, and delivering an exceptional employee experience. The position offers flexibility and may be structured as a 30-hour-per-week role based on the selected candidate's preferences.
KeyResponsibilities
- Process payroll in coordination with an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and assisting with hiring decisions.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and completion of employment documentation.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and communication with benefit providers.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and personnel documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit documentation and system updates.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
- Assist leadership with a variety of administrative and HR-related projects.
- Stay current on HR best practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other administrative and human resources duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or a related administrative support role.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes and HR administration.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheet management, and basic data analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business information.
- Experience with HRIS or payroll systems is a plus.
- Flexible schedule with the potential for a 30-hour workweek.
