Responsibilities

The MA/GXMO is responsible for providing professional medical care for clinical patients under the supervision of the physician. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Performs all necessary X-rays with a high degree of quality.

Position Responsibilities/Standards

General Responsibilities:
  • Attend department, clinic, or company meetings as required.
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Complete required annual in-service programs and education as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Records attendance and time punches in UKG consistently.
  • Maintains accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and manual systems as established by regulations and practice policies.
Duties:
  • Maintains & reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Documents appropriately in patients’ charts.
  • Initially assesses patient’s orthopedic complaints & screens patients for appropriate information.
  • Educates family/patient about diagnostic procedures.
  • Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and maintaining a friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Responsible for compliance of OSHA regulations-biohazardous disposal.
  • Assures that instruments are sterilized, and exam rooms and clinic work areas are clean and tidy at all times.
