Overview

. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating day‑to‑day production and schedule adherence
- Attend project meetings to include Red Zone meetings, partnering meetings, and quality control meetings
- Be on site at all times during performance of the contract work
- Direct the day‑to‑day coordination of Gilbane's subcontractors to ensure high‑quality work that meets the approved project schedule
- Develop, document, and communicate the work plan regarding changes made in the field
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents in order to proactively anticipate potential problems
- Identify change conditions on site
- Obtain or verify that subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes
- Act as primary site representative in the field
- Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, and other project partners by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment
- Lead on‑site contractor meetings on a regular basis
- Maintain daily reports and documentation
- Participate in managing and updating the project schedule, creating and implementing contingency plans when necessary
- Communicate schedule status, updates and changes to project team and trade contractors
- Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics
- Oversee project quality plan, complete inspections, and implement necessary changes
- Communicate with Site Services/Next 150 to order materials and schedule crew
- Coach and mentor less Field Engineers on project needs, construction knowledge, and business acumen
- Understand subcontractor scopes of work; identify any scope gaps; ensure subcontractors are completing their scopes
- Lead stretch and flex, daily huddle, and pre‑task plan reviews
- Support a positive and inclusive work environment
:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience on $25 million or larger construction projects in a superintendent role
- OSHA 30‑hour certified
- CQMC certified; or ability to get certified
- Experience and familiarity with the requirements of EM 385‑1‑1, hazard identification, and safety compliance

- Ability to collaborate on a daily basis with the project team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Construction‑document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
- Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
- Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
