We are seeking a Managing General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care while leading daily clinic operations, mentoring staff, and helping advance oral health services in one of Alaska's most vibrant communities. This role offers a unique blend of clinical practice, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population through an integrated healthcare model.

• The Wrangell Dental Clinic will expand into a brand new, state-of-the-art dental facility with seven private operatories anticipated in 2027.
• As one of the largest Native-run healthcare organizations in the United States, SEARHC is committed to providing quality healthcare that honors the traditions of Alaska Native people and American Indians, while ensuring that advanced medical technologies are made accessible to all.
• The new $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 SEARHC opened the Wrangell Medical Center. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. In addition to the dozens of established outpatient clinics and traveling clinics throughout the region.

• Salary: $203,000 -$254,000 based on years of experience, with dental residency premium stipend of $12,000 and a $15,000 leadership stipend.

• Generous Time Off: 33 days (264 hours) annually and 10 (80 hours) additional days of Continuing Education.

• Clinic:
  Featuring four closed operatories, 2:1 Dental Assistant Support, and plumbed nitrous oxide. Working alongside one hygienist and DHAT.
• Patient Volume: 12-18 patients per day. All clinic operatories have up-to-date A-Dec equipment, digital radiography, and electronic health records. Including Dentrix Enterprise Software and Dexis Radiography.
• Procedure opportunities:
  Full spectrum of treatment options, from minimally invasive dentistry to traditional restorative dentistry, and full mouth dental rehab cases in the OR.
• Visiting Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics specialists provide additional collaboration opportunities throughout the year

• Provides overall administrative and clinical leadership for one or more SEARHC Dental clinics. Serves as the senior dental professional for the clinic, with responsibilities for the assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of direct and contract resources for dental services.
• Provides administrative and clinical supervision of Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Therapists, and provides administrative supervision of all other dental staff assigned to the site. Engages team by planning, assigning, evaluating, and directing work, assuring adequate training of employees, and exercising administrative control in carrying out program policies.
