Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech
Provide radiographic and CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic purposes, applying principles of radiation protection and professional judgment.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for care of patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatric adults, including assessment and interpretation of patient data.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (radiography, sonography, CT, etc.) within the department and in other areas as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and files in accordance with department policies.
Participate in and assume responsibility for the departmental quality assurance program.
Engage in continuing education to maintain and update professional knowledge and skills.
Assist with patient transport to and from the radiology department.
Assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor and rotate shifts as required.
Perform ancillary and additional duties as directed by supervisor or manager.
Comply with all SEARHC policies, procedures, ethics, and compliance standards.
Work effectively under stress and respond to on-call requirements within 20 minutes.
Willingness to learn and maintain competency in additional imaging modalities (e.g., Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography).
Maintain equipment care and records for CT/interventional areas, assist with invasive procedures, and manage supplies/inventory.
Consult with referring physicians and alter protocols to ensure age-appropriate, high-quality care.
Demonstrate competency in tele-radiology, sterile technique, and daily/weekly quality control.
Lead Technologist duties (if applicable): support Imaging Manager/Director, validate imaging records, oversee workflow and staffing, address staff concerns, assist in hiring/orienting new staff, and serve as an expert resource.
Attend departmental meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
Required
Certifications:
Current ARRT or ARDMS certification in relevant modality, BLS within 45 days of hire, and ongoing clinical competency.
Experience:
Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities.
Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance of position.
Shift flexibility:
May cover day, night, or on-call shifts as needed.
Work with patients and staff of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
