Overview
Registered Nurse – ER, Wrangell, Alaska. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,897–$2,970 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Night shifts. Setting:
Skilled Nursing Facility. This assignment requires clinical expertise in emergency care delivered within a skilled nursing setting, with responsibilities spanning multiple age groups and complex patient needs.
- Coordinate and perform a broad range of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, applying professional knowledge and independent decision-making within the established care plan
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, interpret data, and document findings; develop and implement individualized care plans; monitor progress and reassess goals as needed
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and ensure safe administration with attention to age‑specific considerations
- Provide leadership and supervision to CNAs/Techs; delegate tasks appropriately; ensure safe clinical practice, equipment use, and adherence to infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; participate in rounds, care conferences, and discharge planning; provide patient education and post‑discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care, protect patient confidentiality, and adjust nursing actions in response to changes in patient status or emergencies
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
- BLS and PALS required on hire; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of start date
- Two fingerprint cards must be submitted immediately upon acceptance
- Flu vaccination required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience; prior ER or SNF experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts; capable of functioning in a travel assignment within a skilled nursing setting
- Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment
- Credentialing and onboarding assistance to facilitate start
- Assignment‑specific support to address clinical needs and placement logistics
- Access to ongoing professional development and mandatory training requirements as applicable
