Position: CNA – Hospital/Clinic

Call for Salary Rate -

Job Summary:

Provide compassionate basic nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, supporting their comfort, safety, and well-being in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ensure proper documentation, safety protocols, and patient transfers are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general nursing tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, assisting with dressing, applying heat/cold therapy, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collect specimens, accurately record patient data, and report any abnormal findings or changes in condition to supervising nurses.
  • Assist residents with mobility, personal care, feeding, and activities of daily living, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment by preparing rooms, handling equipment, and appropriately disposing of waste.
  • Support patient transfer and transport, including preparing paperwork and providing resident care during transfers.
  • Cross-train for additional hospital areas, including telemetry, emergency, surgical, and labor & delivery departments, to enhance staffing flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Possess current Alaska CNA license with verification at submission.
  • Have at least 1 year of prior CNA experience preferred.
  • Hold current BLS certification.
  • Be able to obtain 12-lead ECGs and operate telemetry monitoring.
  • Demonstrate ability to react calmly during emergencies and handle physical demands including lifting non-ambulatory patients.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with constant attention to safety and patient care.
