Overview

The Value Creation and Quality Supervisor at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Value Creation and Quality team supporting efforts to maintain and improve the quality of our products. This position involves maintaining regulatory compliance and implementing process improvements and is ideal for someone who is analytical, adaptable, and organized.

Responsibilities
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Implement HACCP programs and maintain HACCP records for all products received, processed, and packed/repacked at the facility.
    • Implement GMP and SSOP to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
    • Implement GFSI and Sustainability/Chain of Custody standards to meet audit requirements.
    • Interact with Regulatory Agencies and third‑party auditors; monitor scheduled audits.
    • Perform internal and external audits and inspections to ensure all standards and requirements are met.
    • Implement environmental and product microbiological testing.
    • Implement equipment calibrations and testing for process controls.
    • Conduct product tracking and traceability.
    • Provide support on customer complaints.
    • Responsible for achievement of department goals and objectives.
    • Assist in all plant quality activities.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and consistently look for opportunities for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement:
    • Assist on the food safety and quality training program.
    • Identify, investigate, and report on critical quality defects on production processes and products.
    • Document quality checks of product through the entire process.
    • Conduct line‑level problem analysis.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

Education and Experience
  • Required:
    • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Be available nights and weekends as needed.
    • Knowledge of HACCP, GFSI, SSOP and COOL Act.
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Previous quality assurance experience in the food industry.

  • Sedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally.

    Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Fingering:
    Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers.

    Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.

    Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Repetitive motion:
    Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Office, as well as warehouse environment.

  • Plant exposure to wet, cold, and/or humid temperatures.
