About the PositionWith over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be a member of the Store Leadership Team and responsible for leading associate‑level staff in an assigned area, ensuring effective store operations and creating memorable consumer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”
How You’ll Make a Difference- Oversee the day‑to‑day work of associate‑level staff.
- Provide direction, guidance, training, and coaching to ensure efficient operations and proper store procedures.
- Supervise the assigned department, managing profitability through receipt handling, replenishment, and processing.
- Create and maintain store culture through teamwork and coaching, modeling professional behavior.
- Collaborate with the store leadership team on policies, procedures, and standards for assigned areas.
- Maintain company standards and policies, resolving errors and maintaining quality.
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency operating a point‑of‑sales system and other in‑store computer systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to exchange ideas with leadership, associates, and customers.
Frequent movement in an active environment, handling items up to 40lbs, exposure to dust and noise. Requires flexible retail scheduling, including seasonal changes, and adherence to local, state, and federal laws.
Pay Range$17.60 – $25.34 per hour (expected range for hire: $17.60 – $22.76). Pay decisions reflect market rates, candidate capabilities, experience, and internal equity.
