Maintenance Technician

True North Hotel Group, an award-winning management and development company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Springhill Suites in Wrentham, MA. We offer awesome benefits and a great family culture.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair all manageable mechanical operations and equipment including, but not limited to:

  • Complete tasks such as electrical wiring, small plumbing problems, windows, doors, locks and keys, drywall, wallpapering, painting, caulking, equipment maintenance, furniture and upholstery repair, swimming pool and spa operation and upkeep
  • Complete and track guest room and equipment preventative maintenance as outlined
  • Check all exterior lighting, public area lighting and signage daily (parking lot lights, building lights, entrance signs, corridor lighting, lobby and elevator lighting)
  • Assist in controlling expenses in accordance with budget and checkbook totals.
  • All completed work logged in Quore.
  • Understand and continuously use the Quore system.
  • Follow proper key control procedures for issued keys.
  • Complete all required True North and brand standard trainings.
  • Complete required amount of Preventative Maintenance (PM) each quarter.
  • Keep an accurate and updated tool and supply inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and trainings such as but not limited to:
    Lock out tag out, slip and fall, fire drills, etc..
  • Upon the start of your scheduled shift, maintain property grounds and inspect grounds for damage, trash, cigarette butts, or suspicious activity and handle accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Follow processes and standards through supporting the supervisor in daily activities
  • Manage the day to day PM's and assigned maintenance tasks
  • Manage and review hotel logs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and focus on daily productivity
  • Work with other maintenance staff to accomplish tasks
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years working experience in facility maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
  • Active driver's license/ability to drive maintenance van
  • Be able to carry, lift, pull. push up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in hospitality is a plus.
