The Disabled Children’s service supports children who have a lifelong, permanent and substantial disability. The service is made up of five teams:
Enablement Team, 0-11 Team, 11+ Team, Eligibility Team and Occupational Therapy Team. The 0-11 team specialises in delivering early intervention in collaboration with children, their families and key agencies, including health and education. The primary aim of the 0-11 team is to offer targeted support at an early age to strengthen families and reduce the risk of family breakdown. The focus is supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes that matter to them.

The 0-11 team works with children and families under care and support, managing any safeguarding risks that are linked to a Disabled Child and their siblings, working with families throughout court proceedings and with looked after children and adoption. As a Social Worker in this team, you will be part of a supportive, nurturing service which benefits from a highly experienced management team.

You will receive regular, meaningful supervision and attend in person team meetings, we also schedule regular wellbeing ‘check ins’ and bitesize sessions, creating a safe space to build relationships with your team and peers.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
