ABOUT US

Our teams of counsellors work holistically to provide counselling to children in schools, in our centres and online. We support children and young people who are experiences a range of difficulties such as exclusion, behavioural challenges, self-harm, anxiety and depression. We also offer flexible parenting programmes that aim to support, mentor, and equip parents to manage their family life and relationships better.

ABOUT

THE ROLE
  • Provide one‑to‑one therapeutic counselling for children and young people in schools, centres and face‑to‑face settings.
  • Manage your own caseload and conduct assessments.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and professional records of sessions and interventions.
  • Collaborate with pastoral teams, parents/caregivers and statutory organisations.
  • Act appropriately on safeguarding concerns and follow all safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain professional and ethical boundaries at all times.
  • Attend required meetings, supervision and training.
  • Operate on a self‑employed basis with your own insurance, DBS and professional body membership.
ABOUT YOU
  • Be a dedicated, caring and self‑motivated counsellor committed to supporting children and young people.
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
  • Be a registered member of a relevant professional body as outlined in the JD.
  • Have at least 100 hours counselling children and 100 hours counselling adults.
  • Be empathetic, personable, creative and able to build rapport with children and young people.
  • Demonstrate dependability and consistency, providing a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with children, families, school staff and professionals.
  • Work in an organised and professional manner with strong time‑management and record‑keeping skills.
  • Collaborate well with others and value different perspectives.
  • Engage in ongoing CPD and reflective learning in line with professional body expectations.
