During quieter trading periods and the off-season, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the wider Duty Management team with the overall operation of the site, helping to ensure a safe, efficient and customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage Operations Lead and manage all food and beverage operations, including cafés, kiosks, bars and event catering. Drive sales growth and profitability through effective commercial management. Monitor and control stock levels, wastage, purchasing and gross profit margins. Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and customer service. Manage staffing levels and labour costs in line with business demands.
Recruit, train, coach and develop team members to maximise performance and engagement. Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and licensing regulations. Event Delivery Plan, coordinate and deliver food and beverage operations for ice hockey games, competitions, birthday parties, corporate events and special functions. Work closely with event organisers and internal departments to ensure smooth event execution. Identify opportunities to maximise event revenue through tailored food and beverage offerings.
Ensure adequate staffing, stock and preparation for all events. Site Operations Support Act as a member of the site's management team, supporting the overall operation of the facility. During off-season periods, provide operational support to the Duty Management team. Assist with daily site management, customer service, health and safety compliance and team supervision when required. Support the delivery of operational projects, promotions and venue initiatives.
Help maintain our high standards of safety, presentation and customer experience across the entire site. What We're Looking For Proven experience in a Food & Beverage Manager, Catering Manager or Hospitality Management role. Strong leadership, communication and team development skills. Experience delivering food and beverage services for events and functions. Sound commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and labour costs.
Strong understanding of food safety legislation and operational compliance. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and event days. A hands-on approach and willingness to support wider business operations when required. Personal Licence Holder and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
