MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for Substation projects.

• Follow all substation safety rules, permits, and isolation procedures.
• Install and assemble mechanical equipment and steelwork.
• Maintain and repair transformers, circuit breakers, and switch gear mechanisms.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, leaks, and corrosion.
• Carry out fault‑finding and replace defective mechanical components.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use lifting equipment and rigging gear safely.
• Support testing and commissioning activities.
• Complete maintenance records and inspection reports.
• Maintain good housekeeping and environmental standards.
• Work safely around high‑voltage equipment and follow PPE requirements.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, electricians, and site team.
• Other duties as required.

• Time spent as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience working on steel clamps and 132 Isolation if possible.
• Substation experience required.
