Bridges and Structures Apprentice

We're looking for a Bridges and Structures Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Norfolk, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Bricklaying.

Transportation – Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Bridges and Structures Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 2 apprenticeship in Bricklaying, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in the overall design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.

Your Day To Day Will Include
  • Support the hands‑on maintenance, repair and improvement of bridges, retaining walls and other highway structures across the Norfolk Highways and Infrastructure contract
  • Working alongside operational teams to help keep critical infrastructure safe, serviceable and resilient for the travelling public
  • Maintaining high standards of safety while working on site
What are we looking for?
  • 18 years or older by the time the position starts
  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English OR Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English
  • Are punctual, self‑motivated, and willing to learn
  • Have the ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions
