S&L Industrial is an industry leading traffic control and pavement markings services company. S&L Industrial takes pride in quality of work, values the safety of our employees, and works with integrity as a team. S&L Industrial is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our growing team. This position will be an in-office position located in our Cowley, WY office.

The Purchasing Specialist supports the procurement function by assisting with purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and inventory tracking. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in supply chain, procurement, or operations. The specialist works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate purchasing of materials and services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with creating and processing purchase orders in accordance with company policies
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order status
  • Track open purchase orders and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, and documentation
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
  • Help resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with accounting as needed
  • Assist in sourcing new vendors and gathering pricing quotes
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and quality standards
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
  • Entry-level experience in purchasing, logistics, or administrative roles
  • ERP software experience, preferred
  • Understanding of inventory or supply chain concepts
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
