Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:

Serves as the Dam Safety Office's senior risk management specialist for portfolio risk management and risk-informed decision-making, guiding methodologies, quality control, and long-range program planning.

Represents DOI and Reclamation in national and international dam safety communities.

Provides authoritative programmatic advice to senior DOI and Reclamation leaders on complex and controversial issues affecting dam safety, portfolio risk management as applied to risk management activities and risk reduction actions.

Leads the DOI Working Group on Dam Safety and Security, overseeing strategic planning, annual training development, interagency program improvements, and technical standards aligned with federal guidelines.

Provide collaboration and program leader support for dam safety governance, guidance development, staff mentoring, workload planning, application of emerging technologies, and modernization initiatives for multidisciplinary professionals supporting risk management and dam safety program priorities.
