Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience interpreting within educational or school settings
- Certification from a nationally recognized interpreting body (e.g., EIPA, RID, or state equivalent) preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Adaptability and commitment to supporting diverse learning needs
- Provide clear, accurate classroom interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Support IEP goals and participate in team meetings as requested
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards
- Foster an inclusive, supportive educational environment
