Position: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Glenrock, Wyoming
Location: Glenrock

Put your expertise to work as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a contract role supporting students in the Glenrock, WY area. Make a direct impact by helping students with hearing impairments thrive academically and socially within a school environment.

Qualifications/Desired

Experience:
  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility to obtain
  • Knowledge of and experience with American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods for students with hearing impairments
  • Understanding of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Experience providing academic and social support to students with diverse needs preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with each student's individual needs, using appropriate methodologies and assistive technologies
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs in partnership with families, teachers, and related service providers
  • Use sign language and other communication modes as appropriate to foster student engagement and understanding
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes
  • Serve as a resource for school staff on best practices and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere where all students feel valued
