Responsibilities- Develop Maintenance & Technical training processes, programs, and procedures for a newly established training department, ensuring compliance with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes and standards.
- Develop and execute a strategy for training program initial accreditation.
- Use the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) to develop new high‑quality training curriculum for maintenance and technical personnel.
- Revise training programs to maintain instructional and technical accuracy based on plant design changes and procedural updates.
- Participate actively in the Training Curriculum Review Committee.
- Coordinate with management, the emergency response organization, and other stakeholders to develop and improve training programs.
- Prepare trainee examination material and trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments as appropriate.
- Prepare processes for training performance evaluations, trainee counseling sessions, and individualized training programs.
- Incorporate information from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, Information Notices, plant design changes, procedural changes, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports into the training program and various training materials.
- Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits, and prepare responses to audit findings.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of plant design, operations, disciplinary skills, and techniques required to develop effective, high‑quality training.
- Supervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
- Assist Training Management in establishing department goals and cost estimates that result in budgeted activities for the assigned area, including specific projects or subject matter areas as assigned.
- 2 years of commercial nuclear power plant experience in a maintenance or technical discipline.
- 4 years or more of military nuclear experience.
- Combination of other experiences with academic degrees may be considered.
- Mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of Maintenance & Technical training programs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and aspiration for training excellence.
- High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, and respect for teamwork.
- Understands the impact of individual actions and decisions on regulatory compliance and public safety.
- Adapts well to emergent changes due to design, procedural, schedule changes, or other challenges linked to constructing and commissioning a new nuclear power plant.
This position is subject to qualification requirements in accordance with ANSI/ANS 3.1. Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience criteria applicable to the role, including relevant nuclear industry experience where required. Verification of data will be part of the hiring process.

- Salary Range: $99,054 - $148,582 (specific to Wyoming)
