Morning Star Academy seeks a 6th Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for a teacher who loves students, delights in learning, and desires to teach within a classical Christian framework. The 6th Grade Teacher will provide instruction across core subjects, shepherd students during a pivotal transitional year, and contribute to the life of a vibrant Christian school community.

• Teach 6th grade core subjects (e.g., English, literature, grammar, history, mathematics, and/or science, depending on assignment) using classical methodologies
• Foster a classroom culture marked by order, joy, and charity
• Integrate biblical truth and Christian worldview into daily instruction
• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
• Assess student learning and communicate progress clearly with parents
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and high expectations for student conduct
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school mission and goals
• Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Teaching experience or mentored classroom experience as part of a degree program is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A teachable spirit and willingness to grow in classical pedagogy
• Ability to joyfully lead and shepherd middle-grade students

• A clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ
• Active membership and involvement in a local Christian church
• Full agreement with Morning Star Academy’s statement of faith and mission
