Special education paraprofessionals will assist in the delivery of educational services prescribed by the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) under the direction of a certified teacher to meet instructional goals and objectives. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting students in achieving academic success, following the directives of the special education teacher or related services personnel, providing one-on-one or small group assistance to students, monitoring students' behavior for the special education teacher, preparing materials for instruction, assisting in remediation programs, assisting students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, and other related non-instructional areas, following district policy and procedures, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services, the building principal or superintendent.
