Technicians - Electrical & Instrumentation Pipeline Maintenance - Fort Laramie, WY
Plains All American is hiring Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians in Fort Laramie, WY to support pipeline and terminal operations. This field-based role focuses on installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems across tank farms, pump stations, custody transfer equipment, and pipeline facilities. The role requires strong knowledge of PLCs, control systems, switch gear, high-voltage systems, and regulatory compliance within oil and gas pipeline environments.
What you’ll need:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read electrical drawings and pipeline schematics
- Experience with PLCs, generators, switch gear, and control systems
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Apprenticeship program completion
- High voltage and substation experience
- Experience with custody transfer systems (LACT units)
- Strong preventive maintenance and troubleshooting background
