Supervisory Civil Engineer

Job Title

This is a Merit Promotion announcement for career and career conditional Department of Interior employees, Career Transition eligibles (CTAP), Current or former time-limited employees eligible under Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) and those who are eligible under the hiring paths listed above. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinates water management activities for the Wyoming Area Office (WYAO), including reservoir inflow forecasting, long and short-term reservoir operations, water rights accounting, and hydrologic data collection and analysis.
• Coordinates Safety of Dams, Review of Operation and Maintenance (RO&M), and Emergency Management programs for the Wyoming Area Office (WYAO). This requires regular inspections and reporting for 13 large dams and numerous irrigation diversion and delivery structures.
• Prepares written reports and oral presentations to WYAO management, other Reclamation personnel, representatives of other federal or state agencies, irrigation districts, other entities, and the public regarding the above noted water management, Safety of Dams, RO&M, and Emergency Management program activities and other subjects as assigned by management.
• Provides supervision for six Civil Engineers, three Hydrologic Technicians, and one Civil Engineering Technician.
