About the role

ST Engineering Aerospace Engines Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Technician (Non-Destructive Testing) to join our skilled technical team. This is a full-time position based in the Airport Road East Region
. As a Senior Technician specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety and quality of aerospace engine components through advanced testing methodologies. This position is integral to our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing and maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct non-destructive testing procedures including ultrasonic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and radiographic testing on aerospace engine components and assemblies
  • Prepare test samples and equipment, ensuring all materials meet aerospace industry specifications and standards
  • Interpret and analyse testing results, documenting findings in detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive testing records
  • Identify defects, discontinuities and material anomalies, assessing their significance in relation to engineering specifications and industry regulations
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on testing procedures and quality assurance practices
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot component failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations throughout all testing operations
  • Maintain knowledge of aerospace standards and relevant NDT certifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and component quality
What we're looking for
  • Relevant NDT Level 2 certification or equivalent qualification in non-destructive testing methodologies
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in non-destructive testing within the aerospace, manufacturing or engineering sector
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple NDT techniques including ultrasonic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and radiographic testing
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards, specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and engineering documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision in testing and reporting
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff members
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in using specialist NDT equipment and quality assurance tools
