SUMMARY

The Parking/Recycling Attendant helps create a welcoming, organized arrival experience for guests while keeping resort parking and recycling areas clean and efficient. This hands-on position assists with parking set-up and operations, directs guests and employees, collects and sorts recycling and trash, and supports sanding during winter conditions. As part of the Base Area team, this position also assists other departments as needed and serves as a Targhee ambassador through friendly, helpful guest interactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide friendly, high-quality guest service while helping maintain clean, organized, and efficient parking and recycling operations.

Assist the Manager and Lead with daily set-up, operations, and breakdown of parking and camping-related infrastructure.

Help maintain safe and orderly parking lots by directing guests and employees to appropriate parking areas.

Collect trash and recyclable materials from designated containers throughout the resort and common areas .

Assist with driving the parking lot shuttle as needed (must be trained and 25 years of age or older).

Sort and store recyclable materials and assist with off-site transport as needed.

Maintain a professional, courteous, and welcoming approach with guests and coworkers.

Stay familiar with Base Area locations, resort offerings, and events to provide guests with accurate information and directions.

Assist with other Base Area and resort operations as needed.

Maintain scheduling and assignment flexibility based on weather, staffing, and business levels

RESPONSIBILITY TO SAFETY:
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
  • Assist with daily parking lot sanding operations.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  • Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK SCHEDULE

Due to the nature of the recreation industry, Grand Targhee Resort operates seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Flexible hours may be required based on weather, staffing, and business levels. Hours are not guaranteed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED. No prior work experience or training is required .

Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence and complete simple written communications. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers and provide accurate information and directions.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and respond appropriately to routine situations and changing conditions.
