- Guernsey

As Area Director,based in Guernsey you’lloversee a team of regulated and non-regulated relationship managers while managing your own customer portfolio, helping customers with their holistic financial planning needs across key life events. This role sits at the heart of how we support Islands customers with banking, lending,investment and insurance needs. Success means building a consistent, high-quality customer experience while meeting businessobjectivesthrough strong sales quality and service standards.

You’lldevelop the team’s capability through ongoing coaching, performance conversations and sharing best practice.

You’llalso strengthen HSBC’s presence in the local community through internal and external connections that support growth and the HSBC brand.

In this roleyou’ll:

Oversee the Guernsey Premier Team to meet Islands customers’ banking, lending,investment and insurance needs

Manage a portfolio of customers and advise on holistic financial planning as a trusted adviser through key life events

Coach and develop relationship managers to strengthen capability,performance and career progression within HSBC

Apply the IWPB Operating Model and relevant operational guidelines to deliver consistent people management,service and sales outcomes

Build internal and external connections that strengthen the HSBC brand, attract newcustomersand embed HSBC Guernsey in the local community

Monitor sales activity and management information, using insights to focus the team and deliver business goals

Run regular team and one-to-one sessions to share priorities, setfocusand address risks and issues early

Recruit and onboard relationship managers in line with headcount and resourcing plans

Set objectives, run performancereviewsandtake action to address underperformance in line with policy

Evaluate performance against KPIs and provide discretionary incentive recommendations in line with Group incentive plans

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Hold a Level 4 Financial Planning Diploma

Bring proven experienceprovidingholistic financial advice across a wide range of products and services

Demonstrate experience in a Wealth Adviser, IFA, Financial Planning Manager or similar role

Apply deep knowledge of financial planning and wealth products to customer needs

Deliver needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing and sales skills

Build long-term partnerships and manage complex relationships with significant clients

Manage team performance through objective setting,timelyfeedbackand structured development planning
