Hospital based Patient Demographics: 50% Adults (18+) 45% Geriatric 5% Pediatrics Support Staff: 1 PA 1 RN Patient Access Support Physician Presence:
No other physicians during locums coverage Supervision:
Locum will not supervise Radiology:
Current PA-C operates the x-ray; no x-ray tech onsite Setting:
Outpatient Only Required Procedures:
Medicine - Adult Outpatient, Geriatrics Pediatric - Infant to Adolescent GYN - Well Women Care (pap smear) Orthopedic - Common musculoskeletal problems Occupational Medicine - Employment physicals/examinations, Disability exams/Workers Comp, Diagnosis and management of common industrial-related medical problems Adult Procedures - EKG Interpretation, Suturing Minor Lacerations, and I&D Pediatric Procedures - Suturing minor lacerations Preferred Procedures:
Medicine - Urgent Care Pediatric - Newborn care Orthopedic - Non-displaced fractures, casting & splinting Adult Procedures - X-ray interpretation Patients Per Day: 3-5 Number of Exam Rooms: 4 EMR: EPIC Ideal Candidate: APP comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting Reason for Coverage:
