- Evaluate patients through records review, appropriate evaluation techniques, and clinical observation.
- Develop treatment plans and goals, including discharge planning.
- Implement and modify treatment plans, maintaining timely documentation.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills with families, physicians, and other stakeholders.
- Provide relevant information at meetings such as team conferences, home health conferences, and rehab clinic meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge of therapy techniques through in‑service classes and required continuing education.
- Assign and supervise therapy assistants and aides, providing feedback.
- Serve as preceptor for therapy students and other learners.
- Identify and seek input from staff, physicians, and other health professionals for patient care.
- Assume patient assignment and problem‑solving responsibilities in the absence of the Department Head.
- Implement quality assurance and utilization review programs.
- Use therapy devices, equipment, and assistive devices safely.
- Demonstrate safety awareness in all aspects of patient care.
- Perform other duties related to the position as needed.
- Market self and clinic while maintaining a positive community reputation.
- Collaborate with hospitals for inpatient therapy care.
- Participate in HIPAA training and adhere to privacy and security rules.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensed in Wyoming or eligible for licensure.
- Certified in CPR.
- Meet all requirements of Gottsche’s automobile insurance carrier.
- Excellent written and oral communication and computer skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced working conditions.
- Availability to attend educational training and seminars.
