Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – Full Time – Basin/Worland, WY.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour (DOE).

Applies skills learned during academic training, educational programs, and practical experience to treat patient/family needs.
- Demonstrates competency in implementation of treatment plans. Documents appropriately. Evaluates effectiveness of plan and modifies as indicated, following consulting the Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when interacting with families, physicians, patients and others involved in a patient’s care to promote an environment of cooperation and respect.
- Provides appropriate information at meetings such as team and family conferences, home health conferences, rehab clinic meetings and others as necessary.
- Maintains current knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate to the patients at Gottsche Rehab Center through attendance of in‑service classes and the appropriate amount of continuing education as required by state licensure.
- Assists in appropriate treatments or portions thereof, assesses the accuracy, thoroughness and appropriateness of the care they provide and then provides feedback to the Department Head.
- Seeks necessary information and input from staff, physicians and other health care professionals to ensure ongoing appropriate patient care.
- Has knowledge in the use of therapy devices including exercise tables, fitness equipment, assistive devices, wheelchairs, pulleys, weights and other equipment common to the practice of physical therapy.
- Demonstrates an awareness of safety in all aspects of patient care.
- Performs other duties related to the position as needed. Job duties are subject to change as the department evolves and changes.
- Participates in HIPAA training and awareness programs and abides by all privacy and security rules as required by Federal Law under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
- Will complete activity assessments on hospital patients within 24 hours of receiving a swing bed referral.
- Will deliver activities to all swing bed patients daily and will strive to treat hospital patients twice per day as applicable.
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Currently certified in the State of Wyoming or eligible for certification.
- Certified in CPR.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent computer skills.
- Exceptional ability to work with employees under fast‑paced working conditions.
- Must meet all requirements of Gottsche's automobile insurance carrier.
