Technical Support Engineer – Entertainment Lighting & Control Systems
Are you the person everyone calls when a lighting or control system goes down? Do you enjoy troubleshooting, solving technical challenges, and working with advanced entertainment technology systems? We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to support entertainment and architectural lighting control systems across a variety of venues and installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, customer support, and field-based system assistance.
No two days are the same in this role. One day you may be troubleshooting a control system remotely, the next you may be helping solve a complex onsite system issue or collaborating internally to improve technical solutions and documentation.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues involving lighting and control systems
- Support hardware and software applications related to entertainment and architectural lighting environments
- Respond to technical emergencies requiring advanced troubleshooting and system analysis
- Provide onsite support for unique system issues that cannot be resolved remotely
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to resolve maintenance and product-related concerns
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support resources
- Assist with commissioning, service, and ongoing technical support efforts
- Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams
- Support training, process improvements, and special technical projects
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with ETC lighting and control systems strongly preferred
- Background in technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning, or field service
- Knowledge of lighting controls, dimming, networking, DMX, or entertainment electrical systems
- Understanding of technical theatre, architectural lighting controls, or entertainment technology systems
- Strong troubleshooting and deductive reasoning skills
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Comfortable with travel and occasional weekend/evening support as needed
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Windows OS, or technical documentation is a plus
This is a great opportunity for a technically minded entertainment professional looking to grow within the world of lighting controls, systems support, and advanced troubleshooting.
