The Supervisor is a manager within the Natrium organizational structure who has been given responsibility under the Natrium Department Directors and corresponding Senior Manager for the cost and schedule performance, and personnel management of a team within the Natrium Construction Organization. They are responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing the project controls within the Kemmerer Unit 1 Construction through project completion.
The Supervisor is responsible for building their team through hiring/staffing the correct mix of skillset, experience and knowledge. They are responsible for growing the personnel within their team through annual goal setting & monitoring, career growth opportunities and encouraging professional development. The Supervisor will ensure their staff is trained to appropriate standards and will leverage both internal and external means to provide support as needed.
The Supervisor will drive work performance and quality across their team, through schedule planning and monitoring, cost planning and management, staffing planning and management, and risk management.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage a highly effective team focused on the cost and schedule of the Kemmerer Unit 1 construction. Key areas for consideration include:
- Monitor, track, record and approve all cost and schedule budgets and schedules associated with Kemmerer Unit 1.
- Monitor, track, record, and approve all cost and schedule trends developed by all parties associated with the Construction of Kemmerer Unit 1.
- Ensure adequate Project Controls Staff is located and assigned to the Site.
- As deemed necessary by the Site or Deputy Site Managers, perform forecasts of Project construction cost and schedule to communicate current Project status.
- In conjunction with the EPC Contractor, develop and maintain Project status curves.
- In addition to the Site responsibilities above, responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate visible, continuous leadership in the areas of safety and quality.
- Focus on maintaining an inclusive and welcoming work environment which fosters innovation and synergy.
- Hire, train, and qualify personnel.
- Identify and propose staffing needs, prepare job descriptions, interview candidates.
- Set yearly goals, hold mid-year checks, and perform annual performance reviews.
- Support employee professional development and career objectives.
- Coach for performance.
- Help resolve employee concerns.
- Recommend promotions, transfers, and other staffing changes.
- Ensure the production of project and technical scope according to and within project schedule and budget:
- Estimate effort and durations required for scheduled activities.
- Decompose scheduled activities into executable sub-activities.
- Ensure main deliverables and inputs required from other groups are clearly identified and linked in project schedules.
- Participate and provide input and feedback to Pre-Job Plan (PJP) meetings.
- Monitor and report status of activities.
- Oversee partner and vendor technical work as required.
