3 to 5 years of residential remodeling leadership

You will step into a pivotal, high-impact leadership role running all field operations for premium residential design-build projects. As a Project Foreman, you are the crucial link between our design team, field staff, trade partners, and the client. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will directly execute master-level carpentry while driving jobsite efficiency, controlling project costs, and maintaining our signature "no-surprises" process.

You will enjoy a high level of autonomy without microwavable oversight, supported by a structured management team that respects your work-life balance.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Field Production & Safety Leadership:
Actively manage all on-site field activities—working directly on the tools while supervising carpenters, helpers, and trade partners to guarantee master-level quality, project accuracy, and strict safety compliance.
  • Client Experience & Communication:
Serve as the primary, daily "point person" for client communication, keeping homeowners fully informed, installing job signage, and securing signed Customer Satisfaction and Punch List Reports.
  • Logistics & Material Control:
Audit material delivery logs, inspect incoming supplies, coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator for special orders, and promptly pull unused inventory from the site to minimize waste and optimize project costs.
  • Project Documentation & Tech Integration:
    Leverage 123

Worx project management software to log comprehensive daily activities, track time card labor codes, manage file inventory checklists, and coordinate change orders.
  • Schedule & Subcontractor Coordination:
Maintain smooth transitions between project phases by checking site constructability and proactively preparing the jobsite for incoming trade partners and inspectors.
  • Design & Production

    Collaboration:

Participate actively in design/production meetings, perform precision field measurements to ensure product fit, and collaborate with Designers and the Production Manager to adapt the Scope of Work (SOW) to real-world site conditions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience operating as a working foreman, lead carpenter, or project manager in the residential remodeling sector.
  • Advanced, hands-on mastery of residential remodeling trades, including framing, custom trim, cabinetry, and general remodeling assemblies.
  • Strong digital proficiency with the ability to confidently utilize mobile project management applications (experience with 123

Worx or similar scheduling apps is a plus).
  • Superior communication skills with a track record of successfully managing client relationships, resolving concerns, and leading small field teams.
  • Solid capability to read, interpret, and identify constructability discrepancies within architectural prints and detailed Scopes of Work (SOW).
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the physical stamina required for full-time field labor, lifting up to 50 lbs, and managing diverse jobsite environments.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced understanding of Greater Lansing area building codes, structural inspection milestones, and local zoning requirements.
  • Formal training in construction management, scheduling optimization, or safety leadership (OSHA certifications).
  • Extensive experience managing multiple residential trades simultaneously on large-scale additions or whole-house transformations.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay with consistent year-round, full-time scheduling.
  • Annual profit-sharing opportunities driven by successful project cost management.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plan fully provided by the company.
