Operations Manager

The OpportunityReporting to the Shift Supervisor.
- Strong operations knowledge and expertise in all aspects of refinery operations to meet safety, environmental, business, housekeeping, quality, quantity, cost and performance standards.
- Relieve all other operator positions as needed for vacations, vacancies and cross training.
- Lead efforts to improve process units' optimization, achieve performance targets and promote long‑term plant viability and reliability.
- Work with operations management to develop refinery specific objectives aligning with refinery's goals for safety, regulatory compliance, reliability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot problems throughout the refinery processes.
- Assist in training operations personnel to ensure safety throughout the workforce.
- Assist in recertification of operating and safety procedures to ensure compliance when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of refining operations experience as an A Operator with certification on at least one of the three WRC consoles.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of FCC, Benz Out, SWAATS Complex, Alky, Crude, HDS, Reformer and NHT.
- Strong working knowledge of all operations unit processes and procedures.
- Experience with loading dock equipment and tank farm layouts.
- Understanding of laboratory procedures and product testing specifications.
- Organizational and communication skills with ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and production requirements.
- Must be always available for emergencies, be prepared to work overtime for turnarounds or unexpected personnel shortages, and periodic on‑call throughout the year.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
