Mine Operator Summary

This position is responsible for working closely with the Mine Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the mine site and raw product flow to the plant.

• Operates heavy equipment (scraper, dozer, and front‑end loader) at mine locations to ensure consistent access to raw materials that supply the plant location.
• Assists in ensuring that all safety measures, guidelines, and regulations are being accurately followed and reports any concerns to the appropriate supervisor(s) or regulatory personnel on a weekly basis.
• Helps to support and track the production of the mine from the processing of raw materials through the development of the mined product.
• Coordinates closely with plant personnel and trucking team members to make sure the plant has a steady supply of raw material.
• Takes samples to the plant lab for testing; utilizes the lab results to assure that mining occurs within appropriate material specifications.
• Responsible for completing necessary paperwork, as assigned by the Mine Supervisor, to ensure compliance with MSHA, state, and federal requirements.
• Before moving to another site, assists with the reclamation of the present site to meet federal and state requirements.
• Assists with training new and existing employees on the use of equipment utilized at the mine.
• Tours and inspects the mine site to detect and resolve production issues with supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

• A good understanding of mining and heavy equipment operation which allows the ability to problem‑solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise that impact the production of the mine.
• General knowledge of machinery and the ability to operate machinery such as, but not limited to, loaders, excavators, scrapers, and trucks in a safe manner.
• Preferred experience:
  
  understanding of drilling functions and exploration.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Effective listening and verbal communication skills.
• Able to interact with external business entities effectively, positively, and professionally, such as vendors, customers, and truck drivers.
• Must perform tasks with integrity, competence, care, and attention to detail, and demonstrate good judgment.
• Expediently resolves issues and follows through on details.
• Exhibits patience, professionalism, and courtesy in internal and external communications.
• Encourages a positive and flexible working environment.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.

• Classification:
  Hourly, paid bi‑weekly, benefits eligible.
• Position open:
  Immediately.
• Compensation:
  Commensurate with experience and skills.
• Locations:
  Glenrock, WY.
