This is a part‑time position (20 hours per week) for an Accounting Assistant who will provide general support to the Director of Finance.

Qualifications
  • Have a passion for and maintain the spiritual integrity of the ministry and agree to sign the DHM Mission Statement
  • Experience with Excel and other Microsoft products along with Quick Books Online
  • Strong time‑management skills, self‑starter
  • AR and AP experience preferred
  • Organized, process oriented, attention to detail
  • Ability to follow compliance procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and understand deadlines according to month‑end and fiscal‑end
  • Proactive in identifying issues/concerns and bring them to the Director of Finance
Bookkeeping Responsibilities
  • Process invoices with authorization and payments in a timely manner
  • Make bank deposits
  • Order and count cash from bank
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivables
  • Maintain food benefits
  • Billing for Community Mental Health and State of Michigan
Office Administrative Duties
  • Answer phone and monitor general voicemail
  • Order office supplies
  • Order supplies for supply garage
  • Assist with preparing for audits, reviews for licensing and CMH contracts
  • Assist with LEA activities as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Finance, President, Vice President
