Assistant in the Office of Advancement
Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids Schools San Juan Diego Academy - Wyoming, Michigan
Are you looking for a fulfilling, part-time position where you can contribute in a meaningful way, apply your administrative and organizational skills and enjoy your work in partnership with great teachers and students? San Juan Diego Academy (SJDA) is pre-K through 8 school, providing a rigorous academic curriculum in a faith-filled and nurturing environment. We strive to equip students with academic, moral and spiritual formation to enrich their lives to help nurture future leaders.
These values are at the forefront of all we do at SJDA, and they are reflected in the work environment for teachers and staff. Like peer schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, San Juan Diego Academy serves a community of dynamic students and families guided by our Catholic faith. Yet, we are unique in many ways among our peer schools.
The majority of our student body are part of first or second-generation Hispanic families, who speak Spanish as a first language. Another factor that makes SJDA unique is a wide spectrum of financial support from the West Michigan community and beyond. Our partnerships with various parishes, foundations, and donors are essential to our success. In order to advance partner relationships and boost support to our school, SJDA is looking for an Assistant in the Office of Advancement.
In this role, you will be a crucial teammate, contributing to our commitment to expanding SJDA's recognition and presence in the community, and maintaining a high level of integrity, trust and honor in donor relationships.
The position of Assistant in the Office of Advancement at San Juan Diego Academy, calls for a 19-hour work week. While most of your work hours will be on-site, you will have flexibility around which hours and days you choose to work from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Your role will include managing financial gifts, meetings with partners, creative collaboration, event planning and hosting, email communication, and could include preparation for meetings, design and production of print materials, design and production of multi-media.
