Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
Manage infection controlbypreparingand sterilizing instruments and equipment
Provide patients with follow-upinstructionsfollowing all dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
