Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new products, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal product performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate concepts and ensure manufacturability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product realization.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo) for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and material selection.
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Ability to conduct design analysis, prototyping, and testing to validate designs.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience
- Proficiency in advanced FEA and simulation software
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation
- Familiarity with diverse manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, welding, additive manufacturing)
