Design Engineer | Wyoming, MI
Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Wyoming seeking Design Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and develops new manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Optimizes existing production lines for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Creates detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for fabrication.
- Conducts simulations and analyses to validate designs and predict performance.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D.
- Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to design and manufacturing.
- Selects appropriate materials and components based on application requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, AutoCAD).
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Experience with CAD software beyond basic modeling, such as advanced surfacing or generative design tools.
- Familiarity with a scripting language (e.g., Python) for design automation or data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in previous roles.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate designs and predict performance.
- Prior involvement in continuous improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing environments.
