Yes (One night/week , and every 4th weekend Friday 1630 - Monday 0700)

Yes (on-call schedule)

General Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator the Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist will fulfill all of the roles for the Interventional Radiology Technologist (2292), orient new technologists, assist in continuing education activities, assist in supply management, assist with staff scheduling and staff development.

Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiographic technology program in an AMA-approved school and/or successful completion of board registry by ARRT in Radiography and IR: RT (R) (CV or VIR)
  • Current ALS certification – Advanced life support.
  • Maintain ARRT certification.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and develops training of new staff
  • Provides safe and effective patient care while performing duties of Interventional Radiology technologist.
  • Utilize and effectively use all Radiology equipment and software in the performance of daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain certifications, registrations, and education requirements of the hospital and accrediting body.
  • Will use the principle of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) to minimize radiation dose.
  • Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge of all protocols and procedures.
  • Display consistent proficiency in using AIDET when communicating with patients, visitors, physicians, peers, managers, volunteers, internal and external customers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
