Position Summary
The Intermediate Application Functional Analyst is an essential role in the development of software application solutions used by the business community. The analyst uses functional and application knowledge to translate into artifacts that are used by development teams to create and deliver a solution within a functional area of expertise. The role may also involve business process knowledge, enabling support of business process analysts through design, build and test of a project's business processes.
Works under moderate supervision and guidance.
- Define business scenarios
- Design processes including batch jobs
- Define requirements, develop function object test approach, design data mining process
- Conduct fit/gap/manual analysis
- Create functional specifications including data mining development
- Configure software (system architecture, configuration of enterprise structure, prototype development)
- Design master data including identification and design of to‑be master data objects, reporting and analytics development, BI application reports
- Execute functional object testing, solution validation, and populate function object test environment
- Long‑term application management and maintenance, if required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Problem‑solving capabilities with ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work independently or in a team
- Drive and initiative, highly motivated toward company, team, and individual results with focus on priorities
- Ability to develop solutions to complex problems, referencing established precedents and policies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret customer business needs into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
